Gastrointestinal (GI) surgery is a specialized branch of surgery focused on the treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the digestive system. This includes the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, small intestine, colon, and rectum. GI surgeons are skilled at performing both advanced GI procedures, such as laparoscopic surgeries, and traditional open surgeries, tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
Our department, under the guidance of Dr. Virendra B. Singh, is a pioneer in patient safety and safe surgical practices. All complex abdominal surgeries, laparoscopic surgery, colorectal surgery, pelvic floor surgery, all advanced GI and HPB (hepatobiliary surgery), abdominal wall reconstruction, and malignant diseases are done with good outcomes.
